Please don't panic...
If you feel it's all a bit too much, and you don't have any budget to pay for professional help...
- Ignore the technological stuff altogether and focus on what it's essential to have on your new church website.
- Make a list of the sections you think you need, and what needs to go into each one. Will it all fit on one nice short page?
- Look at the Introduction and Good Examples sections to make sure you haven't missed anything vital.
- Then look around for a Content Management System that will do the job. (A typical Content Management System lets you run your website through a series of private web pages which offer you options, choices, and places to feed in your text, images, etc..) Your ideal Content Management System will be easy to use, but will have all the facilities you need, will have low setup and ongoing costs, and will leave you in control.
Now relax and read on...
